Before implementing any of the techniques and procedures described on this web site in your main project you should have a current and confirmed GOOD BACKUP.

I highly recommend thoroughly testing on a scratch project. A small change now may have a wide ranging and long lasting undesired effect. I generally have two or three scratch projects, which I use for testing. I either copy my complete project or a subset of my project because I find working with data I know more relevant than working with data from the sample project.

It is also recommended that each project be kept in its own folder.
